No quantity of personal or professional hurdles may forestall Donna from achieving her objectives, and today, her life is proof that being fearless has paved the best way to success! It has been a few year since Donna was enrolled within the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program, but this wasn’t her first time in the program, this was her “big return”. Donna’s profession spanned many a long time and industries, however she joined the WIOA program to help her train for a brand new career in medical billing and coding at Prairie State College. She excelled in her lessons, making great strides and constructing new know-how skills that she had not utilized in her previous jobs, all while working half-time at residence in a customer support capacity. Suddenly, D onna suffered a stroke. Instead of keeping her well being battle confidential, Donna wanted to share this part of her career journey because she hopes it is going to be an inspiration for others who are facing hardships of their very own. Donna worked exhausting to regain her physical energy, and rejoined the WIOA program and her research at Prairie State College. I wasn’t certain what L inkedIn was though I had one, once I became extra conscious of how it could assist me with that job search I found out what a useful tool it was,” Donna stated. After finishing the medical billing and coding program and updating her resume and LinkedIn profile Donna was in a position to apply for positions and landed numerous interviews. She applied for a place at the University of Illinois Health Center, took a test and was advised she would obtain the outcomes of her application in about 10 days. Just TWO days later, Donna was offered the position! Donna mentioned she really enjoys her new job, and as an added bonus she will get to see new moms and babies each day.
